I really think we'd be better off if we jsut banned all religion in this country. I'd give up Judaism if it meant that we could all get a proper free education.

It's funny you should say that, because the new resolution for debate is: "democracy is best served by strict separation of church and state," which is almost exactly what you're saying.

And some people are stupid. From what I understnad about secular humanism, it jsut says that the power to learn stuff is within us (sounds kind of like Hinduism).

Actually, I feel that agnosticism would be the best option because, at least the way I understand it, you don't just give up, you keep searching, which means you'd be willing to learn anything.

Actually, I think the most important part of democracy is an extremely good education system, ours is horrible. I feel that if it were to be improved everythign would get better. But that'd take a very long time, so we could ban religion while we're building up the educational system, then allow it back it with an amazing education system, and it will not effect peopel the way it does today, because the people will govern based on reason and not faith.
