"All through the streets and in the wind you could see the white, fragile seedlings floating in the air, or rolling desperately against the apathetic concrete. These were the progeny blown by the wind into a world where by and large they would be regarded as a petty nuisance and no more. I couldn't help but feel, seeing all those desperate little spores of future life being thrown about all at once, that there should be a place for every single one of them."
