(no subject)
today, i ran into another friend of mine, and the best part is i thought i would never see her again because she is going to college..somewhere. we were both driving and passed each other in a parking lot and pulled over and talked for a few minutes, but she and her mom were out running errands and had to go. during the school year i occasionally left my math book in my locker, so i could 1) miss 20 minutes of class, my locker was on the other side of campus and 2) walk with her over to the other building.
were going to colorado in a few weeks for our vacation, and i cant wait. next summer i want to go camping there for a monthish/(less) with my deaf dog and if i can find someone that wants to go.(?)
have any of you heard of FINCA, first international something something something. well anyway its super neat, its micro-banking stuff, our youth group has been working for monthes to raise $5000 to set up our own bank down there. what they do is lend $50-$100 so they can set up their own small business, for example- buying a sewing machine and make clothes, so they can buy a roof for their house or put walls all the way around. plus some of the youth that put the most time or money into the effort get to go do to mexico. im pretty sure i will go. there are some pretty sad stories that make me feel so lucky. which is kind of why i planned my colorado thing, so i can learn how to live on less.
