Neglecting my internet life
I guess I have been pretty neglectful of my internet life since getting a job. I've been working at Schenker (still). I was supposed to finish the Monday after my mom visited, but after being home for 2 hours (and after getting farewell cards, chocolate, and a bottle of wine) Phil called and said that Jamie wanted me to work in his department starting ASAP. So, ever since the 1st of October, I have been working on ocean imports. It is a more fulfilling job role, I suppose, but it's still work (gag). The people I'm working with are pretty cool, though, so I can't really complain. Although I am learning more than I ever wanted to about ships and containers than I ever wanted to know.
In non work news, my mom's visit was really awesome. I feel a bit bad that I couldn't show her more sights, but she had a good time just seeing where I live and getting to see Leicester Uni. She bought me a Leicester sweatshirt :-) I'm really looking forward to going home, and that is only a few short weeks away (November 8 - December 6). Danni will be joining me in Placerville a few weeks later, and then we will have a big family Thanksgiving.
Well, that's about all in my life. Exciting, eh? lol.
