I started writing this entry a couple of days ago, so... yeah!
How is it August already? I mean, seriously, the year started yesterday. About a month ago, I finally started writing 2013 as the date instead of always accidentally using 2012, so how can it be August?
Anyway... I have been keeping up with my flist, checking it every day but there are like, three actual personal posts on my feed every day, so it seems like now that I'm finally getting back into LJing, everyone else has left. LOL Although this isn't quite true anymore since today I had five pages to catch up with. Woop!
Real Life
There's nothing amazing to report, really. Work is still work, I haven't suddenly found a boyfriend or moved to a different country or anything that exciting. RL is boring, really, but I'm perfectly fine with that, really!
I covered a few concerts for the newspaper this past month, and got to see some amazing shows! The first one was the opera Carmen, which was amazing. I've been a fan of it since I was like, three years old (I'm serious, I used to watch that and the Magic Flute over and over and over again when I was at my grandparents' between the ages of like, 3 and 10), so it was great to finally see it in person. It was open air too, so... yeah, it was an amazing experience.
The weekend after that, I saw the Blues Brothers, which turned out to be a lot more entertaining than I initially thought (I've never seen the movie). And finally, this past weekend, I went to see Les Misérables, which was SOOO GOOD. I love that musical so much, and seeing it live was just... oh my god, seriously, I was not okay. I almost started crying, that's how good it was!
I hadn't seen the Les Mis movie before that either, but I did watch it with my mum on Sunday. T'was okay. The show is better, shhh.
My brother's birthday was yesterday and today the family's coming over, so there might be a picture post tomorrow or whenever. We'll see. I don't really have a present for my brother cause I didn't know what to get him, and also, all he does lately is be a pain in the ass, so I'm not sure he deserves one. LOL
It's just... he's done with school now, but he has one more exam to retake in September. So he's home all the time and you would expect him to actually help in the house a little since he has nothing else to do, right? Well, that seems to be a little too much for him cause every evening I come home, the kitchen is a mess and I'm just really sick of it. And then he gets mad at me when I complain. Clean your shit yourself and I won't bitch - it's that easy.
And now my mum invited her boyfriend's daughter to come tonight too, and now he's mad at her because of that. So... yeah. Pain in the ass.
Fandom
BIG TIME DREAMS KILLED ME, I'M STILL CRYING :(((
Ahem okay, for those of you who aren't in the fandom: Last week's episode of Big Time Rush was most likely the last one. EVER. And it was an okay episode - entertaining more because of the boys' acting and cute faces rather than the actual plot. It was okay, but I found it a bit disappointing for a finale. I would've wanted more moments between the boys, less last-minute relationships and stuff. It was just like, "Oooh, Carlos and James are still single - MUST GET THEM GIRLFRIENDS." Which is dumb. Why not let them have each other? It would've been much more natural, to be honest.
So yeah, I was a bit meh about the episode.
And then. THEN. Kendall throws one of his touching speeches and they start singing We Are, which is already a song that makes me Very Emotional, and having that combined with the fact that it will most likely be the last episode and that montage of moments from all four seasons of the show? Yep. I bawled. I sat in my kitchen in the middle of the night and sobbed. Pathetically. And now every time I start watching an episode or try to gif one, I feel my eyes fill with tears and... it's not good. How am I ever gonna watch the show again if all I do is cry?
And now a week later, I already miss the show and... ugh. Don't get me wrong - I'm really excited about the boys' future projects, but I've only been in the fandom for a year and a half and I just... I WANT MORE.
*sighs* So yeah, that's that. Other fandoms... nothing to report~
Hope you're all doing great! :)
