IB, you'd better be 2tayiing iin your room.
ii'll come two you.*Within ten minutes of posting this entry, Sollux will show up at Isa's door with an arm full of non-perishable foods from the barracks kitchen. He won't bother to deal with anyone else in person (but may reply on the journals if someone really wants to bug him, i guess

She's only there for a few minutes before she hears him on the side of the wood and she opens the door immediately. ]
Sollux!
[She'll help him with what he has if he'll let her. She's got her worry on.]

Are you okay? You aren't sick are you? Have you been around sick people or anybody lately?
*He's kind of frantic. Sollux doesn't want to have to deal with the possibility of her being sick with whatever this is.*
Reply
I am alright as far as I am aware.
[Worry worry worry.]
Are you alright? Do we know who is sick yet?
Reply
*He shakes his head.*
The carrier woman mentioned someone called "Aht" and a "pink haired goat thing" but there are probably more. I figure we can just stay in here for awhile and be safe.
Reply
What of the healers? Healers should be able to take care of this... right?
[It's so very surreal.]
Reply
I don't know, hopefully. They've got to do something about it, I just hope it doesn't take too long.
Reply
I hope so too.
[She's quiet. ]
In two days, she said, and we would know if we are infected with this...
[Isa is very much not prepared for this. Nor it's implications should either of them be ill.]

*Sollux has a plan if they get sick, but he doesn't want to have to carry it out.*
I'm sorry I couldn't bring anything to distract us, I wanted to try to get us as safe as possible as soon as possible...
*Which he probably failed somehow, but at least they had each other.*
I don't know what to do.
Reply
Well. There is music here. Sewing and our journals. It isn't much.
[But distractions are GOOD, else they'll be stir crazy by the time they're able to walk around again.]
You've done the best that anyone could do in this... situation, Sollux. Thank you.
Reply
*That isn't a "you can teach me," its a "i'm sulking because that doesn't distract me."*
I didn't do anything, I just paniced, I'm sure I forgot all sorts of stuff we'll need but can't go out for. But...you're welcome.

[She knows that sewing was likely not on a list of things that Sollux wanted to do. Even she finds it boring and tedious sometimes.]
I can not think of a thing we'll need besides the food you've brought and perhaps the water in latrine. You took action. It's good.
[There's a small pause before she speaks or moves again. She lived with weres and dealt with dragons, vampires and learned the language of the dark elves but something like this plague she's never dealt with before. Hard not to be frightened of it.]
Sollux? She said to arm ourselves.
Reply
*But none of that food is really messy and Sollux wasn't all that great with table manners anyway.
He sighs.*
I know...I didn't bring my sword, but if we block the door they can't get in. I hope.
I won't let anything hurt you, anyway.
Reply
Those are worries for those that can afford it. I'm no lady, Sollux.
[The nudge turns to a lean against him.]
A sword?
Perhaps if we use the bed against the door? It's heavy enough...
[The lean becomes a hug. How'd she get this lucky to have such a good friend again?]
Reply
I don't mind eating without them either.
*Then nods.*
Since I'm so weak here I thought I'd learn how to fight without my powers. Some guy is teaching me to use a sword but I'm not very good at it yet.
I can't move the bed alone, but we should be able to move it together.
*It may take awhile, though.
He leans into the hug.*
Reply
She tilts her head listening to him and gives him an extra squeeze before standing.]
Lets get the room secured then.
[Its a stubborn smile she's wearing there. She might the Keep's poultry-bird but she won't be defeated by a bed!
Likely even, she'll be asking about who is giving bladed lessons in the Keep later.]
Reply
He nods and hops off the bed, eyeing the space between it and the door.*
Okay, this should be easy enough...you take that end and I'll take this end.
*He'll have to use both his psionics and his muscles for this (and the latter aren't really used to much of a work out), but he can manage it. Won't be against resting, though.*
