*Sollux would write like normal, but his book and quill are a little dusty. So he'll stick with audio, which starts with a bit of coughing.*

Shit. Fuck, that still hurts.*He clears his throat ( Read more... )

I'm fine. I'm in the building with the kitchen, so I can stay here for awhile.

Looks like you got nothing to worry about then. If I'm stuck here any longer I might just roast this pig.

Ehehe, that sounds good, actually. You've got a lot of food in there.

Too bad those giant chickens aren't still here. That would have been some good eating.

Hoofbeasts usually make a good meal.

You mean the horses? They aren't as good as you think. The moose would be pretty good though. Though it's been giving me the stink eye since I got here.

Horses? Man, you guys use weird names for things.
Those might taste different from the ones on my world, though.

I think it's safe to assume we're talking about two completely different things here.

[He's not even going to pretend he understands the things Sollux talks about.]

Maybe.

*That's okay, Sollux doesn't get a lot of what Kevas talks about either.*

We might be able to make it back to the barracks, or somewhere, if we just make short trips between buildings then rest. But I don't know how long this will last, I've never been in a storm like this before and there's probably something wrong with it just from being HERE.

I've been in deserts before. Best thing to do in a sandstorm like this is just stay inside and wait it out. You're better off just staying where you are little mon. I've never seen one last much longer than a couple days.

You got a point though. It makes no sense for this thing to be here.

[And if his experience on that damn boat taught him anything it's that things like this are never any good.]

Alright. I can camp out here no problem, anyway.

You notice anything weird about it? Other than that its here at all.

The color. I don't like the color of it. Reminds me too much of something else.

Are these storms normally a different colour?

Normally a sandstorm is the the color of sand, and I haven't seen any red sand around here. Something brought this here.

If you've got to go out there make sure you're careful little mon.

*You know, Kevas, you're starting to make him uncomfortable with all this looking after.*

Yeah, I kinda already figured that out.
