The quill with which you have been provided is rare. It is self-inking and will never run dry. To acquire another of the sort is considerably difficult.

[But not impossible.]

If you wish to use different coloured inks, you can find mundane quills and ink in the library.

Because their source is not easily found and quite frankly, I would prefer that you not disturb her.

The quills come from the back of the Keep's only porcupine. She will shed them under certain conditions, but first she must be tracked and, in your case, followed until her colour changes to that of the ink you desire.

A porcupine is a quilled beast, though the ability to change colour is unique to this porcupine. I do not know the details of her ability myself. Antonia or Duran are best acquainted with her.
