We're watching 2012 and it's completely ridiculous, but I've had this lifelong crush on John Cusack and I like hysterical apocalyptic fearmongering so it's worth a look. :P ( Read more... )

I saw a really farcical musical once about these shenanigans in Rio and at the end of it the statue clapped. I would like to see it in person sometime.. maybe from far away so I don't have to worry about it falling on me.

I still don't know if that's as clichéd as the Empire State Building, which always seems to get destroyed first.

I was so busy loling through all of 2012 that I giggled when they showed the Queen and her corgis. I don't suppose stupid Hollywood event movies have much grasp of anything beyond superficial cultural stereotypes.

They just keep stacking up! Cheesy inappropriate romance and everything. XD

I would love to see that statue do something funny instead of just standing there all HUGE and falling off its hill in disaster films, that sounds hilarious. Like a boggart, making something horrible funny...

That movie was too long. I downloaded it and was glad I did not have to spend three hours sitting through it in the cinema.

Haha I would like to see that too. Although why do I feel like if you ever came face to face with a boggart it would either look like that statue or one of your giant sea creatures?

I think mine might be a Redeemer-sized squid... inside a Wicker Man. There is NO WAY of making that nightmare funny. D:
