Thanks to everyone who responded to my last post. I have a little more information now and as promised, I said I'd share it with you all.
I guess the first thing to have people do is read Brad Crawford's original suggestion for this gathering. He wanted to create a body of residents that would look after the best interests of everyone here.
It's something we should think about and do something about. Everyone here knows their own strengths and weaknesses, we know whether we can look out for and stand up for to protect ourselves. Now we have to think about the people who don't have that kind of protection. Let's face it, a lot of people gathered here are pretty powerful in their own right, for better or worse. But some people aren't, and they're getting put into situations that are dangerous. Not because we're in a war compound, but because of the other residents here.
So... there need to be rules. And I'll be the first one to admit, I'm not a big fan of rules! I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea, this isn't intended to put any one person or persons in charge. We don't need another Warden, that's for sure. It needs to be something that everyone can agree on.
Also, this isn't just for creating guidelines or things like that but also for organizing people into groups that can help others. Like healers, offering to train others, or fighters who can organize strategies for if when the Keepers finally do show up. And people to coordinate tasks like stockpiling food or fortifying buildings or rebuilding damage or anything. There's a lot that can be done, it just needs to be set in motion!
Who knows, maybe even the Warden will make an appearance.
I don't think this should be put off any longer, so if everyone can come to the school the day after tomorrow, around sundown? I'd like everyone... as many as possible... to participate.
