I guess it was finally my turn. I disappeared from the compound like so many others have done in the past. It didn't really feel like much time, but according to this messenger I've been gone almost three weeks. And apparently Kir disappeared the same time I did...

I wish I could've at least learned something from it.

[backpedals] Not normally! I mean, Samus was a special case. She was sick for a while and the Warden gave her medicine and there was a lot of other stuff going on...

[concerned] I didn't mean to make it sound like that happens a lot, or scare you if I implied...

I'm sure that was just one isolated incident. I've never heard of anything besides that one time happening, so you definitely don't have to worry... okay?

No... I quite agree. There's only so much we can do and I don't want to live forever and ever within these walls. The faster they attack, the sooner we can leave, for better or for worse.

I can't even keep myself busy enough anymore.

I know, it just seems... cold. People died during the last attack, and that was just one renegade. It really makes me wonder if we're going to make any difference. Fighting to make change is one thing, but just fighting without any affect is just a waste.

It makes me think I'm as bad as what I berated the Warden for... for not caring about "casualties".
