078; Ever and Alone
I suppose it was only a matter of time. This place has no heart; so it doesn't think twice about hurting anyone else's. It doesn't matter if you've been here a few days, or months. One day, you're just gone.
I don't think he'll ever read this, but I hope Luke is somewhere he's happy. And that Lorelei can help him find someone he'll trust, so that he can stop getting sick and hurting. I wish I gotten to help him the way he helped me when I needed it. Even though I thanked him, that wasn't enough to match how he stood by me even at my worst. I think I won't be able to repay him for that now, and that's an awful feeling. He was the first other person in Econtra besides me, so he was my first friend here. (Even though at first, he hit on me and thought Kir was my boyfriend.) I wonder... if that's what having a sibling would feel like. A brother.
I guess I'll never know.
Econtra is the first place I've ever been able to make friends -- and then actually get to know them. Yeah, Kir and I have met lots of nice people on our travels, and we call them friends, but when it gets right down to it... they're really strangers.
