[[OOC: I too was feeling pretty inspired yesterday, so have some writing. xD The stuff outside the cut is an actual comm transmission that takes place after the wall of text.]]
[She stands up and looks around her dark room, and walks over to the light switch to turn it on. When she gets close to the door, she hears a strange shuffling noise, and a less intense version of the Pyramid Head's stench. It made her jump back from the door in a flare of terror.
[she steps in, one foot and then another, and lets the door close behind her.]
I'll clean the carpet later.
[and yes, yes indeed there are clothes in her hands! They look a bit like the things River herself would wear - sweater, flats, summer dress. And several pairs of brightly colored undergarments.]
[Any other time, she might make some snide comment about the clothes not being her style. But at the moment, she was too scared, too on edge, too eager to get the fuck out of here and somewhere safe to give a shit.
Giving River a glance, she turned away from her not really out of modesty, but to save the girl the sight of her, and got dressed, keeping the sheet around her shoulders. After a minute, she pulled it off and threw it to the ground, fully clothed.]
I couldn't really care less about the carpet. Let's just get the fuck out of here.
[River holds out one of her knives. Celeste might need to defend herself. It's only a steak knife, really, but that's more than what she had before.]
Don't speak to the monsters. Don't talk to strangers.
[With such cryptic advice River leads the way out of the room. This hallways is actually fairly quiet, and she daintily steps over the body of a Needler who looks like it was punched to death. By little delicate hands.]
[She gladly takes the knife and follows her out into the hallway. It smells terrible, and there's blood splattered everywhere from a corpse of some disgusting, unimaginable monster. Celeste wondered to herself if these things were undead, as she followed River down the hallway and to the elevators]
[suddenly, she laughs. Abrupt and wild, shaking her hair.]
Up and over.
[they reach the elevators, and River casually pushes the up button on one of them, as though this were a perfectly normal day and they were not escaping from a deck full of monsters.
