Hello new school

Dec 22, 2012 09:31

Well, I made it! I've been here three hours and not set fire to anything! OK, so I burned one cushion, but it was ugly. Bit of a boring time of the term to arrive, loads of people have left ( Read more... )

It would be me you're looking for, then, I guess... though she didn't say anything to me about it. Heh, oh well!

Name's Jackal Kuwahara. No, I'm not a dog of any sort, and I eat...almost anything. :)

Wow. You're bald all over. Did the fire burn away your hair?

Hahah. Nope. I never have gotten much in the way of body hair. As for the hair on my head, I shave it. It's a fashion statement ;)

You know, when talking to a girl, you should wear more clothes.

Oh. Doesn't that get cold?

I'm wearing plenty. Just not in that picture. It's my default, so it kinda shows up all the time.

Nope. ^_^ I have a higher-than-normal body temperature. So high, that I can walk the sidewalks barefoot in a blizzard and clear them of snow.

Your default is to talk to people naked?

So.... if you're hot all the time... why are you wearing plenty of clothes? Can't you hit an average between nothing and major layers? You're not very logical.

My default picture on my journal, yes. In person, I am fully clothed and sitting behind my computer.

"plenty" of clothing in my book is a lightweight pair of pants and a short sleeved shirt.

And you don't find that odd?

Huh. So what's light clothing?

just_aflame December 22 2012, 04:38:40 UTC
Nope. ^_^

Just shorts.

....... it's odd.

The headmistress said you might be able to help me with control.

...There. I changed it just for you. Better?

Hmmm... My control isn't perfect, but...she might be right. At the very least, I probably understand fire powers better than these non-fire instructors. And at the very least, I am never without a fire extinguisher, just in case. ^^

Now you look like a monk.

The headmistress said fire powers were rare.

Actually, she said something about the life expectancy being low, but I had just set fire to her desk so.....

There's just no pleasing you, is there?

They might be. I mean, until you, I was the only firekin that I'd ever heard of. .... Well. To be more accurate, I was also the only mutant I had ever heard of, so...

Haha, well. I don't know about our life expectancy being low... Maybe she meant her own? There's a kid around here...I think his power...just magnifies other people's powers? It's ended up causing a lot of things to go wrong.... Ah. And if you meet a guy named Inui... whatever you do, avoid his juices at all cost. He will try to get you to drink them....or experiment with them somehow... DON'T.

I like normal. Can't you do normal?

My parents travelled a lot so we'd heard of people who could do strange things. Then there was my brother. Some of the stuff he does is weirder than his mutant things.

Magnifies? So if I touched him... Can you burn a whole country? Who would tell you off for doing that?

Can we burn the juices?

This one IS normal!

I'd kind of heard of people who could do different things. My maternal grandmother believes in voodoo, though, so...read into that what you will.

Yeah. You probably could, if you touched him. It's hard to say, because personally, I haven't experienced it...but it kind of seems to be to a different extent for each person. It might double one person's strength, and quadruple it for someone else. Or something. You'd have to ask him, really..... And man, you do not wanna mess with Ryuuzaki.

...Probably. But also probably not a good idea.

By whose standards?

So your granny stuck pins in people?

She was pretty nice when I burnt out her office. But, maybe the second time doesn't go down too well.

So I just avoid them. Got it. Any other tips?
