Okay, so I'm getting better at this creating/cooking/baking thing, and it's starting to stress me out. What to do? I suspect I'm better in the food area than the education area, but how am I to know? What will make me happiest? Combo of the two? The Tex Mex rub with the homemade BBQ sauce was SUPER DUPER!!! Mind you, the garlic roasted potatoes were superb too.
S**T!
Okay, so I'm a whole lotta freaked out.
My left arm fell asleep on me last week. While in bed. Sleeping on my right side. So when i went to turn off the alarm/radio clock, I knocked it off the night table. I didn't spend too much time thinking about it.
I arm-wrestled with a colleague on Wednesday. Why you ask? I felt like challenging him. Since I've never really done that before. I don't lift weights. I got him right handed and we both gave up left handed.
Friday I felt a tingle in my left thumb. Sorta like when you come in the from cold and you're hands aren't quite room temperature. Or when you arm falls asleep. A little. This feeling came and went (more coming than going) and spread to my whole hand, my forearm and my bicep. Plus, the nerve pain that I would feel from time-to-time in my lats, when I put pressure on my left elbow, was becoming more neck/shoulder and more frequent.
Started Friday, and I called my doctor at 9:00 and got an appointment at the end of the day. In Thornhill. For those of you who know Toronto and surrounding area, I went from Regent Park at 3:15 to Yonge/Centre in Thornhill for 4:00. 30 minutes early!
Saw my doctor and he did a relatively thorough examination. Wrote a prescription for an anti-inflammatory, presuming it most likely to be a pinched nerve. Ordered x-rays, for which I got them done RIGHT AWAY about ten minutes away.

My T-Rex pose!
Then I got the script filled.
So I made an appointment, made the appointment, had x-rays taken, got a prescription filled ALL IN ONE DAY!
This is why I don't complain about the medical system in Ontario.
Oh ya, and I got the flu shot too!
All of this cost me...? Gas and wear 'n tear on the car.
Nice.
I had to include this shot that my dad has in the basement from the Toronto Sun in the early '80s. It's Christie Blatchford of the Globe & Mail on the right.
