(no subject)
Ok, so I have some very important questions for the people who watch my videos and are interested in downloading them to have. You see, this one lovely Youtube user (can't remember the name at the moment...sorry), sparked some inspiration when she asked me if I could send her ALL my videos. That got me thinking, cuz that would be a pretty big undertaking so I said over Xmas break, I would work on that. So, anyway, now I'm in the compiling stage (because most of them are backed up on disc now), but I have a few questions.
First of all, well, this isn't a question, but I'm going to batch them. Because I'm not going to upload 90 some odd videos individually, my internet will hate me (particularly since we download a lot around here and allotted bandwidth is always a problem). So my question is, how should I batch them? Because I don't particularly care how I do it, but I'm going to zip a certain amount of them together and then you can download that and unzip it. So, what should they be, should I do it chronologically, so like, the first batch are the first videos I did? Should they be done by ship or certain category (parody, trailer, shippy)? I kind of like that idea. But like I said, I'm not too picky about how I do it, it just needs to happen. So if anyone has an opinion, please feel free to leave me a comment on how it should be done. Just don't tell me to batch them by like, length, or something obscure like that. Lol.
Secondly, what are the best sites to host this kind of thing. I'm not using Savefile anymore cuz it never worked when I wanted it to. Megaupload was fine with me but some people had trouble figuring it out. So are there any other sites that maybe you other vidders use that are good? Idk. But I guess as of now, I'll be sticking with Megaupload unless someone's got a better suggestion.
Anyway, so in the next few weeks, hopefully I'll start getting them up here so you can download them. Just think of it as a Christmas present to all my lovely viewers. You all rock!
