Indeed.... life IS good and big!!!
I've been absolutely adoring work - which is weird, since it's, well, work. No matter, no matter. My work-happy has an expiration date though - I know this with every fiber of my being. I'm giving it another couple months, which is actually quite good. You see, the work-happy will continue to be effective for about one week after you've seen the last job variant. Once you find that last twist, you have approximately one week to revel in your superiority, in your fluid confidence, in your delightfully skillful mastery of EVERYTHING!! Then the depression starts to kick in when you realize that you weren't wrong. You know everything. Oh god! How mundane. That's when you start making things harder for yourself in attempt to recreate that new-job sense of CHALLENGE!!
Who can guess how often the word 'tenured' applies to me?
I can handle it for a couple months beyond the work-happy though. Which is good, since I'll be able to transfer departments by then. As long as I can keep my attendance in check, I should be able to hang in there with Cingular (I'm the queen of "fuck, what time is it?" waking-up-at-noon-OOPS tardies).
My waistline's suffering though. A desk job? The freedonm to eat WHILE working? WithOUT it inferering AT ALL? Please. I never had a chance. Oh well, I'll hang in there. I just got access to use the building's Fitness Center - now lets see if I can get the motivation (who wants to wager on *that* one....)
I'm glad LARP's over.
Now I just have to worry about surviving tabletop (scoffs at self). Wish me luck, all fellow gamers!!
