people who think that they are better than me because the music they listen to is indie, or underground, or unpopular are idiots and deserved to be put into some sort of chamber and squished like broken cars.
I have news....9/10 times a band isn't signed because they are terrible. So you shouldn't be listening to them. That other time is because the band either does not want to be signed, or is new, or is actually not popular enough but if they are good then eventually they will be signed.
anything good is signed, because good music makes money.
lesson learned? a lot of indie music sucks.

as much as you want to be differant or cool by listening to unpopular music you just seem stupid because as much as you want to believe that no one has heard of that band most people have because its popular to be unpopular...everyone knows its cool to be an individual. and thus if you try and pull off your own style you are cool, which then inturn is not really your own style because thousands of others have done.
So therefore, individuality on the image level, and on a grand scale is nonexistant, but on a local scale possible. So, therefore be yourself, but not a yourself that is better than someone else....unless you actually are, because some people are better than others, its a commonly known fact.
so really, just wear whatever is going to flatter you best. which isnt just a physical thing to do, your dress flatters your attitude, disposition, mood, and says much about you. whether you are fun to be around, or a prude. If everything matches quite possibly you are obsessive compulsive about things, to varying degrees. If you just throw together whatever you want clean or dirty in the morning, probably a slob. If you just wear whatever is comfortable then you are probably a pretty fun guy/girl because you aren't out to impress anyone, so therefor you have less shame (in the sense of getting on a stag to impress people) and will generally do things osme people may not. such as karaoke, or dry humping a male stripper while making sex noises.
If you dress to fit a style of music, ie wearing a g-unit hat, shirt and/or sweatshirt, and pants, and shoes, then you are probably into rap music. If you walk aorund with a studded denim jacket, stretched out ears, duct taped shoes, and bloody/ripped jeans, probably gonna be pretty cool in my books (if you are a guy at least, some rocker girls are pretty attractive but I find that many rocker girls are not infact rocker girls and just like bad boys and try to fit the scene, while actual rocker girls are very hardcore and often pretty bitchy). Rapper girls are a never, because they think they are tough when infact they ar enot and try to start arguments with everyone over stop little things. such as the time, the dumb whore rapper girl was holding the front door of Wesley hall open when it was like -35 outside. One of the girls in our group said hey shut the door, she did not, girl in our group (naomi maybe???) called her a bitch, girls friend came in and tried to bitch out girl in our group but in the end just looked like a retard because she was defending her idiot friend trying to heat the world.
case in point, some girls are just bitches all the time no matter what scene they try and associate themselves with. Often the most laid back life style you can find are the stoners. Usually becaues they are high and just want food or to hang out and sleep or sit aorund and chat becaues they ar elazy and often have crazy views on life. sometimes interesting to listen to, but you spend too much time with them you are likely to become one, or to start to find their ridiculous conspiracy theories and ideas about how the world should work irrelevant and useless in the larger scheme of life. Sometimes a stoner can come up with an idea that is so deviant that it ends up letting them hit it big later in life, which just perpetuates the stoner lifestyle. Othertiems they grow out of it.
The people thta dont really fit into scenes are also fun to be with. They are usually up for anything and everything, they have no personal preference in music, because they do not belong to a scene. so often they will like whatever is being played on the radio and often listen to hot 103 due to the mix of everything on there. This group is the most fun, due to the fact mentioned earlier of not caring what happens the night or day they are around. They often like movies, concerts, poker, video games they have no specific interests, but rather a broad interest in anything. Soemtiems however they sit around and cannot decide what they want to do since they ave no passion for anything, so they cannot decide which would amuse or appease them the most, so sometimes like the stoners they can be undecisive and lazy
spelling mistakes in this entry are rampant due ot the fact that i am typing fast and dont really care. proper grammar is occasionaly used, in the form of capitals but only when i feel that it is worth it for my left pinky finger to move the 1/4 inch over to the shift key.
