Happy My Birthday and Happy New Year!
New Year's Day is awesome for reset button obsessives like myself. I think I'm going to make regular journal posts A Thing for the new year, because if I don't write about my life semi-regularly I tend to forget large chunks of it a short time later.
Plus I also like going back to read what I wrote later, as well as
Catching a glimpse of myself in a reflective surface
The sound of my own voice
Watching myself on video over and over again
And so on (if I were more coordinated I would flirt with myself).
Anyway, it's a regular snowless Christmas in southern Arizona, but we got a wicked thunderstorm with hail, and my mother crafted a hail stone man. He started melting pretty quickly, but he has Ghiradelli chocolate chips for eyes so it all evens out somehow.
As for me, I am 1) not made of hail stones, 2) still living in Pennsylvania, 3) still looking for a non-temp job, though I haven't been looking very hard recently since I'm back and forth to Arizona for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's awful. I get tremendously motion sick on the plane, and then I get really clever and think, "You know what will help with motion sickness? Drinking before every flight!" SPOILER: IT DOES NOT HELP, BUT I CONTINUE TO ANYWAY
