I hate it when this happens. I got carried away while working on something and I got...well...this.

I'm really not sure what it is, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Oh hey, the little needle just went up a bit ( Read more... )

ginko, raspberyl, science!

Yeah, I'm not sure either. It's doing something, but I'll be damned if I can tell what.

You idiot, you're collecting together all the mushi near this place! *makes a grab for the machine* What in the world were you thinking--

[[The machine is, by the way, pretty big. Thing the ghost containment unit in the basement of the Ghostbusters building.]]

*blocks him* Well I wasn't thinking! That's my point! Now what are Mushi?

[[Noted! 8D;]]

*see this? this is Ginko's angry face. he doesn't use it often, so he's out of practice; it might not be totally clear and obvious*

...Inventors make things to solve problems, not to create them. If you made something because you weren't thinking, I sincerely hope you're at least prepared for the consequences.

Mushi, as far as you are concerned, are supernatural beings invisible to most human eyes. They live in the shadows, in the sky, in the ground, and everywhere; too many get together in the same place, however, and who knows what could happen. Their different types are impossible to count, and some of them are capable of things you could not imagine.

That's amazing! I need to learn more about these Mushi! To think all this time I was totally oblivious of something like that all around me...

So what's my machine doing?

I'll agree with you about the learning part.

Your machine is collecting all the mushi together into the same place. Turn it off, now.

Right, sure.

*Distracted by possible avenues of research regarding mushi, Gil absentmindedly pulled down a big lever that made a satisfying KA-CHUNK sound. There was, abruptly, a massive explosion of massive color and sensation as the many many many mushi trapped within came stampeding out. It left Gil's lab in chaos, to say the least. But what would such a sudden release of mushi into the Netherworld at large cause?*
