I was supposed to be on my way to plant an orchard this weekend, but several rides did not work out for one reason or another, and thus I am here in the norm,al swing of things - drinking UNIBROUE 17 and talking about art controversy with friends and how it affects Cletus Q. Oklahoma-Public.
I saw swifty play at people projects on Thursday. I took that Friday off for the Orchard trip, but in lieu just ate at Lula next to Doug McCombs instead. I resisted calling him on his cell phone, the number which I accquired through my interview with his labelmate (and US-phone-less) David Brewis of School of Language. Friday I also interviewed The Numero Group - they're doing some jaw-dropping ethnomusicological work, but they are definitely dudes in a dude's basement on the southside. Nevertheless, fantastic stories.
I've also been reviewing restaurants of late - barely paid, but paid, so I'm hitting them with fervor. My first one is up here: http://centerstage.net/restaurants/bellaspizza.html
And I bought a new bike! I've been riding it into work, which is great, but its been leaving my knees feeling like absolute hell - not so great. I need to get those damn things fixed while I have this health insurance.
