Oh, my poor babies. Damn.

That first transition with the contrast between Laura's optimism and Ellen's realization that she's run out of options is wonderfully done.

She accepted the cup because he gave it to her. It was easier for him this way; it was easier for her.
I really loved this whole scene which I guess is odd to say about a death scene but I love the way you used Saul and Ellen's understanding of one another here and it's heartbreaking but in a way they seem more in sync in this scene than they do throughout the rest of their time since Saul's release.

For some reason, I never thought Ellen realized what Saul was doing but now that you've written it this way it makes perfect sense. I hate that Ellen's been through so much that she welcomes death but I love the way you write it like it's a release and a relief. It's both comforting and unsettling that it's such a peaceful scene the way you describe it.

I think Laura's reaction to Ellen's death was harder for me to read than the actual death scene because Ellen was so accepting of her own death but Laura's reaction is so hurt and raw and such a contrast to how Laura has reacted to everything else so far.

For the first time in a long time, she isn't afraid.
Lovely end line. I was wondering how you were going to wrap this up and I like that you chose the resurrection scene.

So, if you couldn't tell by my many rambling comments, I loved this story. It was awesome to read such a well-done fic with such amazing insight (true story: I just typed insightful insight and then wondered what had happened to my brain cells.) into two characters I adore.

Oh, my poor babies. Damn.
I hated doing this to them! If only I could have written an AU where Ellen lives and she and Laura frak get along.

For some reason, I never thought Ellen realized what Saul was doing but now that you've written it this way it makes perfect sense.
I'm so happy it did. I never thought Ellen realized it either until I read a fabulous little interview Kate did about that scene. She was like (paraphrasing) Yeah, Ellen knew she was screwed. She totally knew she had to die. It blew my mind, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. She has an understanding of what she's done and the consequences. But (and Kate said this too) she did them because she loved him.

Happy you liked the resurrection... it was nice to see her get some sort of redemption. I hadn't seen it like that before... it's very religious and intriguing.

Thank you again, for reading and giving me such great feedback. It's meant so much to me. ♥
