Hello friends! It's time, for a very late monthly post, of some of my favorite things from the past twenty eight days. If you've never seen this series before, let me explain to you what this is. This is a monthly series in which I share some of my favorite beauty, music, games andwhatever I happened to fall in love with this month. Why? Why not! In sharing these things I hope you might find something you would be interested in trying, and maybe finding a product that you love! If you would like to check out the past few months, please follow the tag below to find some other things I love. Otherwise, let's get started!
I blame thank the lovely
oneandonlytara for this month's favorite:
My one and only favorite for this past month is the newest album from the band We The Kings called 'Somewhere Somehow'. I had been holding on from downloading the album, because I wanted the physical copy, but truth be told, I would still be waiting. So I'm glad that I bit the bullet and decided to buy it. We The Kings could be considered more pop punk/ pop rock rather then just straight up rock, but I still find them enjoyable. Since I mostly listen to cd's in my car, I find this album to be a good cd for music while driving.
There are thirteen tracks on the cd, which is quite a large cd for a smaller band that basically promoted and created this album on their own. Having said that, I think that's where the problem comes in. I think despite a few stand-outs, after a while, the songs begin to sound the same to my ears. Which maybe to a bigger fan then myself, they don't, but I think the album gets long after a while. Regardless, I still totally enjoy the album, and it, as I type this, rests safely in my cd player for more car rides. .
Here is the youtube link to the full album just in case you'd like to give it a listen.
And, if you missed it, last Summer, I had the opportunity to go see 'We The Kings' live when they stopped in Arizona. These are the two videos I took of the concert of the band playing my favorites songs not on the newest album.
One and
two Now it's your turn! What is something(s) that you've been loving, playing, wearing, eating or whatever this month. I always love finding new things. That's it, see you next month for more monthly favorites.
