Freeeeeeedom!
Today was my last free Saturday before classes start next week. It sounds silly to celebrate, but when each Saturday, for practically the rest of the year is occupied, you take advantage of a free day. So it was nice to do some fun things to take advantage of a day where I didn't really have any plans.
I went to brunch this morning to LoLo's, for chicken and waffles. I know I've talked about LoLo's, or at least chicken and waffles before, but seriously, it's a beautiful combination. If anyone ever happened to come to visit, or at least make a trip to Phoenix, I would absolutely take them there to eat. So chicken, waffles, and sweet tea was had, and all was well.
This time of year is absolutely one of my favorites, because it's back to school time. Although I am definitely out of school for the time being, I love school and office supplies. I ended up at the office supply store and got a planner for myself. Trouble is I haven't ever been very good with writing in a planner. I don't think I have that much to write in it, but between the preschool and dance and ASU football games starting soon, I thought it might be helpful. When I was in school, I always loved to buy the binders that had the clear pocket in the front so you could put pictures of whatever in the front. This planner has that same feature. And because I'm a child, I can't wait to put a picture in front :)
Went to the library with my momma, so she could get a book for her book club. While I was there, the new-ish Ben Folds album was sitting out front. I love me some Ben Folds. The album is composed of re-releaced songs, so it's extra beautiful. I definitely was jamming in my car this afternoon. I want to say that I've put this song in here before, but this is one of my favorite Ben Folds songs. I've decided I have a serious weakness of music with piano.
I decided that today I was going to treat myself today. I've had my eye on a necklace from the blue box jewelry store for years now, and I decided that I was going to buy it today. I know that it makes NO difference, and once again I sound silly, but a new job, something big and new in my life, I wanted to get something that will boost my confidence, and make me feel good. The bad news is, is they had to put a longer chain on it, so I don't quite have it in my hands yet. But I'm really looking forward to the date that I do. I love this necklace because it's simple, and nothing flashy and that's why I like it.
