Birthday Shenanigans

Thank you for all your kind birthday wishes and sweet messages. Every single one made me smile, and really brightened my day! See icon: I'd love to give you all the biggest hug ever.

I've been kind of crap at replying to comments, so I'm sorry. Yup!

I've obviously back from Laguna Beach, and I had a really lovely weekend. It was so nice to get away, get treated to some cooler temperatures, and most importantly, have some fun. I got zero sunshine, and blue skies, just heavy fog and clouds, but since it was so hot here, this desert girl really has nothing to complain about. This is a picture I took on the beach Sunday afternoon, and you can clearly see the fog hanging low on the hills.

I went into a store, and the girl working there was complaining how yuck and dreary it was, and I told her it was great! I think she was a little concerned after I said that.

Saturday night, we got into our hotel late, but still wanted food, so lucky for us, there was a Bennihana across the street from where we were staying. I have been to a hibachi type restaurant before, but they're still fun and I got a really tasty cocktail, so I had a great time! Sunday I did some shopping, and walking around, and most importantly did a little bit of this..

Something about sitting on the beach, with your toes dug in the sand, listening to the waves, was a great background for writing. FYI: the Pacific Ocean is terribly cold, so I didn't go in, but still enjoyed my spot on the sand. I could get used to that I think ;)

Monday, my b-day, we began our drive home, but on the way there we stopped at the Rainbow Sandals outlet store. Rainbows are my FAVORITE flip flops, and it was awesome to get a discounted price on my favorite shoes.

The only great big negative of this trip, was that while I was there, I got a call from my future-ex roommate, and I got screwed over, and as a result, have nowhere to live anymore. In the meantime, I'm going back home. I kinda failed at "house" hunting. Oh well. Let's not talk about that anymore, and instead, take me back here please?
