Happy Friday my dears! Hope this day finds you safe and well. We've made it to the end of the week. Well done <33 But you know how it goes. It's Friday, which means it's time for five more questions from
thefridayfive 1. What smell brings you a fond memory?
-Every Christmas morning, my parents make the same thing for breakfast. chorizo, which is a spicy Mexican sausage, and eggs. The smell of cooking chorizo, mixed with the cranberry coffee cake my Mom makes every Christmas, is a smell that I adore. If there is some Christmas morning in the future that I won't be with my parents making breakfast, it'll be a smell that I'll miss without a doubt.
2. What song makes you nostalgic?
- Two of them...because I can never pick just one.
'Time is Running Out', because it was the last song Muse played when I saw their mini show with U2 back in '09.
When I took my history class last Summer, one of last assignments, was to memorize and sing(as a class), the song '
I Love You Arizona' So, we as a group memorized this song, and in the last class, we sang this song. I think I've told you before, but the radio in my car is broken, and I only get AM stations. When you're in Arizona, AM stations means a few things: spanish music, talk radio, jesus music, or old folks music. So I've been listening to the old folks station sometimes, because some music is better than no music right? So when I listen in the morning to this radio show, I've discovered the dj plays 'I Love You Arizona', at the end of every show. It always makes me nostalgic, and it reminds me of the fact that despite the stress, there were some really funny moments, during last year.
3. What taste reminds you of school?
-Either pretzels or nachos. I played in the marching band all four years of high school, and there was hardly ever a Friday that we didn't have to be at a football game. After the end of the game, I would usually always buy either a pretzel of nachos, and eat it on the field with some of my band friends.
4. What season makes you remember the most things in your past?
-Am I cheesy if I say Christmas? I think Christmas time/ winter always has a lot of things on during it. I like to think most of these are good things. It's cheesy, but it's the truth.
5. What memory do your treasure?
-My kids hugging me on the very last day of student teaching when I was crying at the end of the day. Hugging friends in airports when you've seen them for the first time. Hearing my name announced for my college diploma. (what was i saying about just one?) So SO many more.
