Let my Cameron go
If you've ever seen the movie 'Ferris Buller's Day Off', you know the scene where Cameron is sick and lying in bed, kind of dying with the lights all low, and being emo, that's about me right now. I've gotten sick. Bleh! I went to the Doctor this afternoon and I've got pharyngitis. Which is pretty much a nothing disease that means my throat is all red and swollen and feels like it's on fire or something. But if it's a nothing disease, why the hell does it hurt so bad, and why do I feel so shit. I am contagious, so, yay me?
I'm not sure how fast the germies can get you, but if it's totally frakking fast, I absolutely saw this coming. We always start the ballet class that I teach in a circle. It's a good way for them to get settled, for me to get settled, and since the little ones have to always tell me what's up in their lives, I find I can get that out of the way through the 'welcome to class' circle. Anyway, C. walks into class coughing up a storm. Pretty much the same cough, I've been rocking the past few days. The first thought in my head was like one of those slow motion movie scenes where the good guys just like "nooooooooooo"! Since I work with little people, I am usually always on the ball about washing my hands, but I don't think I could have escaped this one.
Can't decide whether my body has good timing or not, but I'll say good, since I'm not leaving for the Muse concert for another like two weeks-ish, so as long as I can get this shit over with now, I will be a happy camper. Alright drugs, alright body, do your thing, and let's get me better! Between school, and dance, and vacationing, now is not the time to be sick. Got that?
