Today is my hump day
Today feels like Wednesday to be, just because it's the big hump that I have to get over before the end of the week. Or in my case, before I can get to California. Told you it would go slow.
I don't have an Iphone. Probably never will, but the fact that there might be an Oregon Trail app, makes me one happy camper! And one happy camper who wants an Iphone with Orgeon Trail on it. Oregon Trail days in the computer lab were the absolute best!
A high school meme taken from no one, but I've seen it floating around.
1. Did you date someone from your high school?
-Nope. I asked a boy I liked to the Sadie Hawkins dance one year, in a note actually, bless those high school times. He turned me down, and so I was done after that. Not to say that there weren’t boys I would have liked to date.
2. Did you marry someone from your high school?
-No. NO! But there are plenty of people from my school that went to school together and are now married.
3. Did you car pool to School?
-Nope. Although before football games a few of us would pile into cars and go get food.
4. What kind of car did you have?
-I didn’t learn how to drive until after I graduated high school; just didn’t have any interest in it. So I had no car.
5. It is Friday night then; where are you?
-With the band. Either in the stands playing, or on the field marching.
6. It is Friday night now, where are you?
-Depends, if Doctor Who is on air, I’ll sit and watch ‘Who’; otherwise not much. I like having lazy Friday nights, to sit and do nothing. My Saturday nights are usually busier.
8. What kind of job did you have in high school?
- I never had a job in high school. I was student teaching at the dance studio though.
9. Were you a party animal?
-Nope.
10. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?
-I was in the marching band all four years of school. And I guess that means the concert band as well. And not exactly choir, but I was in the school musical my freshman year.
11. Were you a nerd?
-A band nerd, yes. And I am fiercely proud of that too.
12. Did you get suspended or expelled?
-Never!
13. Can you sing the school song?
-Yes. We had to go to chapel services every Tuesday in the gym. If I wasn’t into whoever was giving the message, or whatever group was presenting, I would look at the banner on the wall and sing the school song to myself. And then I would recite it backwards. I still have that song memorized.
14. Who was your favorite teacher?
-Mrs. Larue was pretty nice. We made fun of her quite a lot though. But her class was always fun. She helped out with the band as well, so sometimes she would march along with you in formation when she needed to fill in for someone.
15. Where did you sit during lunch?
-I never sat in the same spot. Sometimes at the picnic tables outside. Sometimes under a tree on the grass. I ate in the band room sometimes.
16. When did you graduate?
-Class of 2003. Yay me!
17. What was your school mascot?
-Cougars. The cougar costume lived in the upstairs part of the band room, so it was freaky at times to walk upstairs and see a cougar head chilling with all the uniforms and such.
18. What is the full name of your high school?
-Phoenix Christian Jr/Sr. High School
19. If you could go back and do it again would you?
-I would go back to be in band, but no. I wouldn’t want to. I would like to see what it was like to go to a large public school during my high school years. P.C. was very small.
20. Did you go to prom?
-Yes, I did go to prom. Although it wasn’t called prom because we weren’t allowed to dance and prom means dancing. It was called Jr. Sr. banquet instead.
21. Do you still talk to the person you went to prom with?
-I went to prom with a group of friends, and sadly, no I don’t. There are a few girls that I would like to find out what they are up to.
22. Do you still talk to people from your school?
-(See above) Sadly, no. But there are some people I would like to get updates from.
