Moving On...

Let's see, where did I leave off... last Thursday, I suppose.

I worked from Thursday to Sunday, but in my spare time, I finally started playing Tales of Symphonia. This game is simply awesome. The graphics are excellent and extremely smooth, the battle system is lots of fun, and the story (though containing its fair share of cliches) is very well done, with lots of plot twists that have caught me very off-guard (which is a good sign for an RPG plot). I also watched Hellboy at some point during this time, which had a few decent scenes, but was generally rather dumb.

On Monday and Tuesday I worked at the Stonybrook IT department again. Generally the same stuff as last week, only there was very little to do on Tuesday, so I just kind of hung out there. I should install AIM and IRC on my computer, heh. Oh, I got a free Windows 2000 bootable installation disc, and I'm probably going to ask for a Windows XP Pro one as well. My wireless router keeps losing it's connection for some reason, and I'd like to upgrade my home desktop to XP Pro, just to see if it will do anything. Hopefully this will also allow the file/printer sharing to work, because ME apparently doesn't like to share with XP (nor does it like to be a decent OS at all, for that matter).

And Wednesday and today I've just worked at Hollywood and prepared for Otakon. I think I'm pretty much ready by now. I'm hoping to get to the con by noon, but it looks like I may end up getting there later because the guy from Cornell who's driving me doesn't feel like leaving all that early. Oh well. Otakon people: Just remember, we're meeting at 3pm on Friday, and 11am on Saturday. The meeting place is the pre-reg line. Please show up, and please don't be late, if possible.

Well, I'm leaving the house at 7 am tomorrow morning. Guess I should get some sleep soon. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at Otakon, and to everyone else, see you Sunday night. Later.
