FFVII
So I've pretty much just been playing Final Fantasy 7 for the past 2 days. Finallly finished disc 1 last night. I have the PC version, which obviously is less adequate than the Playstation version, but it hasn't been all that bad. There's an unofficial patch that greatly improves in-game graphics, though it totally destroys the cut-scenes. Thankfully, there aren't too many of those. I also had a great deal of difficulty with the control at first, but it's getting better.
So anyway, I'm at the start of the second disc, and having a good time. Went on my date with Tifa, because she is by far the coolest of the 4 possibilities. I was very annoyed when the Aeris scene was spoiled, but not so much anymore, because the scene was pretty lame, and because I thought it happened at the end of the game. I guess it seems less significant since it only happened half-way through. Or something.
Sent an e-mail to Binghamton withdrawing my transfer application, as I won't be needing that this year. Let's hope I never will...
Working tomorrow afternoon, as well as 4 afternoons next week. Wonder why I don't work nights anymore. Oh, and my mom is trying to get me to talk to the head of the IT department at SUNY Stonybrook and see if I can volunteer there. She thinks I need some experience right now, paid or not. While I'm reluctant to offer some of my time to my future resume without monetary compensation, in the process limiting the time I have to complete my other goals for the summer, I'm inclined to agree with her. The guy has been on vacation for the last few weeks, though, and won't be back until Monday.
So, yeah, I'm going to play more FF7 and hopefully watch Goodfellas tonight, since I've had it out for like 2 weeks already. Later.
