i love olympia.
and my AMAZING neighborhood.
kate and i have been harvesting the bountiful fruit from the trees and bushes in the area. yellow plums, apples, pears, figs, blackberries, sallal. why people ever buy fruit in oly in late summer/early fall, i will never understand. plus we have some kale and tomato plants in our back yard.
today was the 4th annual co-op harvest festival in lion's park, which is located a half block from my house. there was food, music, friends. it was so much fun. an amazing way to spend our first weekend in the neighborhood. i met some amazing people. ate the best potluck food of my life (can you say salmon burgers and delcious burrito cart quesadillas?). hung out with my good friends. soaked up some more adoration for the eastside.
life can be so so good.
you know what has been really good to me lately? being single.
i like it a whole lot. and i would like to stay this way for a while.
which is creating some awkward situations, considering there are two guys who are more or less attempting to date me lately. i feel like i may be leading one of them on, but i really enjoy hanging out with him, so we're together a lot...
yikes.
i went dumpstering last night with marc, joey, steve and travis. we got nothing. haha. but steve stole a $40 planter from top foods, which had to be the funniest shoplift i have ever seen in my entire life. i was hyperventilating i was laughing so hard.
good times. good good times.
