i am so happy that we finally got it right.
i cannot believe obama is president and that, for the first time in my "adult" life, i have hope for the office of the president and the future direction of my own country. it finally feels as if the nightmare of the past 8 years will come to some end and while it wont be reversed overnight, at least it won't continue.
that said, i'm heartbroken that prop 8 in california will probably pass. even though i have misgivings about "gay marriage" and its implications about homonormatvity, it enrages me and yet makes me so very sad that even in a "liberal" state, people feel threatened by love.
