Telstra owes me money.

Okay, I bought my first smart phone 9 days ago. A Telstra Smart-Touch 'Pre-paid' ZTE T3020. Nothing too expensive (face it, i'm on centralstink, i can't afford to buy that shiney new white iPhone 4GS I want) and it looked reasonable.
It's a cool little phone, even if the Android is outdated (2.i Eclair). It's even Purple.
However since getting the new phone 9 days ago, it had EATEN $49 worth of credit DOING NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING!!!!!. It's sat by my desk, untouched 98% of the time. I've sent maybe a dozen text messages, downloaded one app, accessed Tribe once (which was supposed to be un-metered) and accidentally open web pages 5 times and exited out of them before they had a chance to load (I also had my Wi-fi on so it should have been downloading off that anyway).
The Texts should have only cost me $7, I can't find how much an internet connection costs, but that $49 should have lasted me 2 months.
Worse yet, it's managed to eat my remaining $10 in two days. Are they charging me for every time I turn the damn screen on or something?!?
Online services aren't doing butt squat and I'm not in the mood to talk to some barely understandable Mumbai native over the phone, who probably has no idea what I'm pissed off about. I want to talk to an aussie, in a store, face to face, and get them to 1- fix the money siphoning or block access to premium services/internet and 2- refund the money back into my pre-paid account and offer me a free $50 recharge while they're at it.
Of course, that requires finding a spare 3 hours in which I can go rant at them (with Dad in tow no doubt, since he's never had the problem with his money vanishing after switching to a smart phone.)

Excuse me while I do a Grimlock and go on a rampage. Cos' squishing and burning stuff would feel real great right about now.

phone companies, money, not happy jan
