Well, I was inspired by a certain meme question to write this particular drabble.
Inspiration: -Is there any such thing as Alphonse/Aang (1/8) fluff?
No, but it should exist, dammit!
This is probably some AU thing where Human!Alphonse somehow ends up in the Avatar world and is traveling with Aang in order to find a way back to his world. Er, or something. >_>
A white cat-like creature approached Alphonse. Its eyes were on him and it mewed loudly, possibly asking to be caressed. Of course, Al had some sort of sixth sense which could detect anything a feline could possibly want and thus picked it up. As he ran his hand through its fur, Aang walked up to him with a smile on his face.
"It sure likes you!"
"Yeah, it seems that way." He spoke softly. "I used to pick up a lot of strays back when I traveled with my brother. Edward never let me keep any of them, though. I guess he was right, we could never take good care of any pets while on the road." His brown eyes then filled with sorrow.
The monk noticed this and pouted. Before he knew it, he seemed to come up with an answer to cheer him up. "Hey! Wanna take it along with us?"
Alphonse looked up at him and smiled. "Nah, with all the misadventures we have, it might be a lot better off out here." Gently, he placed the animal back on the ground.
Then he gave Aang a playful punch on the arm. "Besides, I have enough responsibility with trying to keep you out of trouble."
In return, he shot a grin at him. "You're probably right."
Together, they started to walk down the road once more.
You may now throw rotten tomatoes at me. =D
