Braid is amazing and if you haven't checked it out already, do yourself a favor and download the free trial. You'll probably end up buying the full game after only a few minutes with it like i just did.
Imagine if someone remade Mario using a paintbrush and filled it with ridiculously challenging puzzles involving time manipulation, but instead of moving Mario around all the worlds to 8 bit music, you're controlling a miniature cartoon version of Ron Weasley to really awesome music. What you're picturing is probably similar to the actual Braid (Not to be confused with the band of the same name).
