Peeps
Finally got Peepers to the vet. No real Dx as her blood work & urinalysis was fine. The Dr. thinks that the hair pulling is "just her thing" and how she copes with things since she's been doing it for years. She was given a shot of cortisone and was also prescribed an anti-depressant/anxiety med. Yeah, the cat is now on anti-depressants. *sigh* Thankfully a month supply is only $4. :)
Since she's been home, she's been like a zombie. The cortisone usually calms her a bit, but not THIS much. The meds are suppose to react the same as the do in humans and take 2-4 weeks to actually start working. I can't imagine what she's going to be like when they DO start working.
It's been a nice change tho. I've only heard her squabble a couple of times with the boys, and she's been sleeping a lot more than usual (which is 98% of the time).
In a month or so, we'll see how this is going to affect her and hopefully she'll stop the hair pulling for good.
