update on Jon
Each day is better and better. They removed his IV fluids today, along with the pump that dispensed the pain meds. This was ordered by the Physicians Assistant in the early afternoon. A couple hours later the Dr came by and said that they were going to remove it and start him on oral pain meds tomorrow. Jon told him it was already removed. Oops. The PA will prolly hear an earful from the Doc.
Physical therapy came by for a quick visit and had him walk down the hall a bit. Immediately after he got a pretty bad headache, and of course, he didn't have his pump! So he got a pill instead. He managed to eat a lot of his dinner tonight too. A whole turkey sandwich, in fact.
They're talking about a possible discharge tomorrow or Tuesday, which is what both Jon and I figured. Hopefully he'll be able to get some sleep tonight. His room is directly above the main entrance, so you hear the 3 sets of sliding doors opening and closing. It sounds like thunder rumbling outside! Once you're in there for a while, you sort of get used to it tho.
O well, I'm off to bed. Another long day tomorrow. :/
