(no subject)
i'm pretty grumpy right now because of a few things.
oo1. the scary maintenance dude woke me up this morning to do some sort of crazy painting of my bathtub or something, and his noxious paint gave me a wicked headache.
oo2. i got subway for dinner last night and thought "hey, i'll be smart. i'll get a footlong and save half for lunch tomorrow!" um, yeah. about that. too bad my sandwich seems to have DISINTEGRATED and is this big pile of mushy vegetables and gross soggy bread. grrrr. fuck you subway, and your sandwiches' magical ability to turn to mush overnight!
oo3. big scheduling error drama at work last night! i was scheduled to work at fashion square tomorrow from 1:30-10 (omfg longest day EVAR) but my idiot store manager at my store chose not to take that into account when she scheduled me to close at my store tomorrow from 6-9:30. AND she has the nerve to tell me that it's MY responsibility to get the shift covered when SHE was the one who made the mistake in the first place! AGH.
okay, enough ranting for now i think. so i moved into my new apartment on Tuesday and it is wonderful and lovely and amazing! well, minus the whole unpacking/cleaning/sorting/organizing aspect of it. oh, and not having internet at the apartment yet. today is the first day i've been online since tuesday. it's a little crazy, but kind of good i suppose. i'm getting stuff done, but i never realized how dependent i was on the internet until i didn't have it. weird.this
okay, so i'm trying, really really trying to eat this sandwich now and it's grosser than gross. ugh.
so anyway. tonight i'm going to see my lovely friend Lacy get married (oh em gee friday the 13th wedding spookiness!) and then possibly after that i'm going to the yeah yeah yeah's concert. i don't have anyone to go with and i hate going to shows and driving all the way down to hard rock by myself, but i already bought the ticket and it would be lame to just not go. so torn!
i'm excited to organize my bookshelf this weekend. i'm also excited to get everything in working order so i can start painting again! i have three huge blank canvases just sitting there, looking sad and naked so i'll have to fix that soon.
as soon as everything calms down a bit in the apartment, i'm planning on getting a puppy to keep me company. I think I'll name him Eliot. I've already bought him a toy-a plush cupcake (surprise surprise) with a squeaker inside of it. cute cute cute.
speaking of cute, my bedroom is amazingly cute. it's probably the sassiest thing ever at the moment. i'll have to take some sweet pictures when it's all together.
i haven't been to my classes in two weeks. i PROMISED myself at the beginning of the semester i wasn't going to do this, and i always end up breaking that promise. why do i have to be such a slack-ass? I really need to get it in gear though, especially if i have any delusions about grad school. yuck.
speaking of grad school, i have to take the GRE soon. double yuck.
on that note, it's time to go do some homework and then get my nails done. i'm so effing sassy.
