Just a little ficette from the depths of my exhausted brain.

*grabs them* you don't have any donuts or a nice stiff drink too, do you?

There is just something SO sad and heart breaking about 1941 Jack and they way he and TW Jack acted towards each other

I have a box of mini-doughnuts! *Hands them over*

And yeah, agreed. That episode never fails to make my eyes damp. Maybe because Barrowman and that other guy are such wonderful actors, they just utterly nail the emotions in a way that's still subtle. And the idea of our!Jack, usually the mysterious guy who saves the day, having his own heroes makes me happy too.

Matt Rippy was 1941!Jack. And he was AMAZING.

What's weird is when I wrote a story between the two of them I used 2nd person too, it was the only way I could make the fic work.

Oooh, I think I missed that one. Have you got a link?

And yeah, he was brilliant! I'll try and remember his name.

I Must Be Strong, and Carry On

I've never seen Matt Rippy in anything else, it must have been REALLY difficult to come onto the set and take the role of real!Jack, don't you think?

I've seen him in a few different things and he's nothing short of amazing in everything he does. I've read interviews of people who have worked with him and everyone has said that he is devoted to bringing the characters to life and never gives anything less than 100% to the characters he plays

From what I've seen of him in Torchwood, I can believe that! I'll have to look into his other work.
