[Kovu's tail is almost dragging on the ground ans he paces back and forth across a field of tall grass, while the harsh morning sun beats down over the landscape. The crunching noises under his paws are carrying across the small pond nearby, but he isn't going very close to it. Everything about him looks tense and agitated.

There's also a gash over his left eye that's only just begun to heal over.]
