Giving LJ Talk A Try

Oct 14, 2006 13:16

Good Saturday morning. On the main LJ page is news about the release of LJ Talk, as supported through any client that supports the Jabber network. I have successfully installed and implemented the Jabber protocol DLL into my Miranda-IM client. I don't know how it identifies who is online in LJ or not, but I'm guessing that if you're not using a Jabber-enabled client, then I won't see you online. Anyone who wishes to give this a try, you should now see me online just as you would were you contacting me via Yahoo or MSN. I have made this post via the Frank contact, set up specifically to convert an IM message into an LJ post. Its neat, but its missing all of the useful quick tags available via the rich text input method on the LJ site. Oh well. I'll just have to learn them.

Hope to see some of you around on LJ!
