Well I haven't posted in quite some time... But I have some fun news... We recently added a new member to our family...
Yesterday, when we had gathered for a Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) dinner, I surprised Alana with a new kitten!
Her name is Zoë, and she was found a week ago at a friend's house in their backyard, seemingly abandoned.
It was hard trying to keep the secret all last week, but I managed to do it, and Alana was extremely surprised and thankful.
You see, I already have a cat, a friendly Maine Coon named Callie, but she is essentially my cat. Callie has never really warmed up to Alana in the same way she will spend time with me. So this new kitten can be Alana's to play with!
She's very cute, and very playful. Her markings and colouration are very similar to Callies'...
Our plan is to introduce them to each other slowly, hopefully Callie will accept her. She will have her first vet appointment soon, to get all of her necessary shots, etc.
