So after my driving lesson I got ready to go into town that evening. I had planned earlier that day with Fiona that I’d go over her house and we’d get dropped in to town with Hannah, Bethan and Swifty at the same time.
I ended up wearing my butterfly dress, just tied my hair back even though it needed a good wash and then my silver ballet flats because I’m unable to wear literally anything else on my feet.
I turned up at Fiona’s at about 8.30 pm I’d guess and was greeted by her brother, William at the gate who let me in.
Everyone was in Fiona’s room getting ready. Fiona kept wanting to straighten her hair for the fifth time but Bethan and Hannah kept stopping her. Fiona had also managed to break 2 wine glasses already, God knows how. Hannah also told us the story of how she recently was attacked by a dog, which is why she had a great big scar/bruise on her leg where it bit her. It looked really painful.
It was amusing to see that Bethan, Hannah and Fiona had exactly the same style skirt on, ra-ra skirts with black being the base colour on all of them. I have nothing against ra-ra skirts, but when everyone’s wearing it, it’s time to stop or go for something at least slightly different. At least Swifty was wearing a denim skirt with no frills.
Fiona’s mum drove us into town and on the way we saw Celine and Laura, the language assistants walking down because they were meeting us at some point during the night.
We went to Bankers first of all. We went through to the garden and it was packed with people from Sharnbrook, Bedford High and Bedford School. So there were lots of people from my whole time at school. There was Aaron Fisher, who’d been there since 11.00 am, Ben West, Richard Coward, Olivia Perkins, Emma Coleman etc.
Out there we bumped into Miss Rigby, my dappy Spanish teacher who we also planned to meet that night. She was at a table with Mr Campbell, Laura and Celine. I started chatting to Miss Rigby about various stuff like who I knew, exams and then went on to the topic of Alex Lewis. She now knows there’s feuding going on between all of us.
I turned round and Adam Webb was there and started going, ‘Hi Olivia. How are you?’ I never speak to him, I sit next to him once every fortnight in business and not out of choice. So I said hi etc. Then he nods in his usual flirting way at Miss Rigby and goes, ‘Is that your friend?’ So I said, ‘No…. she’s my teacher.’ Everyone at his table burst out laughing at him, but he didn’t seem too put off. I then warned Rigby to keep away.
Seems that Rigby is near enough taken anyway. Halfway through our time at Bankers, her and Campbell (the one she used to go out with) were chatting away in a private corner on their own. Smiling and flirting.
Swifty got a load of beer down her back because someone climbed over the top of her to get to where they wanted. We got bored and then went to The Square.
At The Square, I instantly spotted Ciaran
cirrypod, Liz and Anne
annewithanf upstairs, so went up to see them, leaving the others behind because they don’t speak to them. Up there was Megan Ledger who then began to hug me and confessed her undying love for Jamie Butler. Kayleigh Jean was also up there, still in her costume from the day. She was dancing manically, as were Ciaran, Liz and Anne.
Fiona, Bethan, Hannah and Swifty had left by this point and from what I can make out they went back to Bankers because there they bumped into Sarah (the Canadian one who’s currently living at my house). Sarah asked an unimpressed Fiona, ‘Where’s Olivia’ and she said, ‘We lost her at The Square,’ and off she went. Funnily enough, Sarah and her friend Tammy also noticed how they were like identically dressed, in the style of ‘Plastics’.
We got fed up of The Square and so decided now was the time to go to Oxygen. Ciaran dashed about like a wild animal trying to get free entrance tickets off the people giving them out on the street and succeeded. Kayleigh, James, Leila, Sophie Landers, Jilly
jillylonglegs and I all jumped on the bus to Oxygen and I took a hysterical picture of Ciaran.
As we walked into Oxygen I nearly lost sight of everyone as Ciaran leged it up the stairs at lightening speed. Instantly we went to the ‘Cheese Room’ and after ordering a blue WKD, we danced on the dancefloor to the likes of Michael Jackson and various other anthems. It seemed the majority of Sharnbrook was there at this point. More people had arrived Marchant, Foster, Ineg, Pete, Hayley, Emily, Mark
thecrazedmoose, Marshall, Jamie, Lauren, Paxton, Heaney, Chris Stuart-Leech (The one who used to fancy me), Thrappers (the oil infested one who told my sister I was going out with Chris) and also saw another unfortunate character, Isabel Monk attempting to get noticed on the dancefloor. Urgh.
I then bumped into Swifty with Kieran K, she’d lost the ‘Plastics’ on the way out of The Square, so only a little while after they lost me. She hadn’t seen them since.
Ineg found me and decided she needed the loo, so I went with her. As soon as I opened the toilet door my ears were buzzing and my eyes were aching. It was uncomfortable and from then I knew I would have trouble sleeping that night, not good since I had work the next morning at 8.30 am.
Later on I bumped back into the ‘Plastic’ group, they dragged me upstairs and we danced to some dancy/trance music whilst weirdo men started to leech all over them. Another reason not to go out wearing small amounts of fabric.
At this point it was getting late and too much for Ciaran on the heat front. As usual he’d drunk way too much and had started to burn up to the heat of an oven, so sprawled himself across the sofa wit the picture of David Bowie over it. James, Sophie Landers and I all sat alongside and then laughed hysterically at Ciaran posing for me to take pictures. One was an attempt of his Jordan impression of Year 12, but it didn’t work.
Then guess who came over to speak to me? Our resident druggie and Sainsburys thief, Caitlin Jenkins. She’d herd that more people had been sacked for stealing from the tills, so I told her about that. She now works in a call centre apparently, so Hasmita got it wrong because she clearly doesn’t work in Tescos. The whole entire time we were talking, she kept putting her feet up on the table and one of the bouncers kept coming over and making her put her feet down. In the end he got so fed up that he pulled the table away, so she couldn’t do it anymore.
More people then began to sit on the sofa. Which resulted in Jade snogging Caitlin (if I remember rightly). It was disgusting, they were only doing it to turn on the boys around them. All I could do was stare in shock.
At about 2.00 am I decided to leave, as usual to Ciaran’s dismay. Marshall was giving a bunch of us a lift home, so off we trundled off to her car which was parked miles away over at Pizza Express. This was the point where I was lucky to be wearing flats, my feet weren’t hurting half as much as everyone else’s.
I was dropped off first. I went to my room, and got into bed at 2.30 am, but as predicted I couldn’t sleep, so I ended up actually going to sleep at about 3.45 am. Then for some reason woke up at 7.00 am, and couldn’t get back to sleep so I had a total of 3 and a quarter hours of sleep, with a 9 hour shift at fucking Sainsburys ahead. Needless to say, it was a joy.
Me, the Plastics and Swifty on the right in Fiona's 'Grounds'. (A nice joke for Ciaran there!)
Outside at Bankers, Fiona and Celine.
Laura, Hannah and Bethan.
Laura and her sister who came over from South America.
At The Square, Liz, Jilly and Charco with weird eyes!
One of my favourite photos of the evening.
From upstairs in The Square. In that shot I see Sophie Crier, Sarah, Sophie Landers, Swifty and the girl in the year below with long blonde hair.
Look at Lucy 'piggy' Whitney being grabbed by some bald guy.
Outside deciding between Mission and Oxygen. Just before Ciaran dashed off to get free tickets.
James Mann looking freaked out.
Jilly and Ciaran on the bus, they were aiming for confused but Ciaran just looks like he's pointing to his chin.
Ciaran's sexy shot.
Night mode in Oxygen, Flan and Sophie Landers.
Charco and Flan.
And again....
Dancefloor
And again...
Anne apparently about to kill someone and Marchant on the brink of crying.
Legs on the dancefloor

The glitter platform boot!
Ciaran's clearly finding something amusing.
Marchant acquiring the 'punch the camera' position.
Ciaran's shirt.
I have no idea.
Ineg, and then I think Thrappers is the one on the left with his arm up. God help us!
Notice different drinking techniques? Sophie = Normal. Ciaran = Bottle neck down his throat?!
Look, a David Bowie photo!
Caitlin and James.
Jade's the one in the white top and black skirt.
Marchant, Lauren and Marshall.
It was all too much for him...
Or was it?
Don't know what he was doing.
Raunchy ballroom dancing anyone?
Caz Greevy, Charco and Flan. Marshall on the side looking very entertained. The guy with the tattoo had it done that day, took 2 hours.
Jade, Lippy, an arse, Flan.
Caz Greevy's (in the yellow shirt) cousin was on that Brat Camp program and Caitlin's drug dealers brother is in the white shirt, Adam.
