Character Name: John Egbert
Series: Homestuck
Gender: Male
Age & Canon Point: 13, post ascension to the God Tier
Requested Sponsor: Carbuncle
Entry position: Cadet!
History:
Here!Abilities & Physical Abnormalities: John has a few very notable abilities. In sburb his title was known as the Heir of Breath which basically translate out to some pretty hax wind powers now that he's ascended to legit godhood. Though manipulating wind is well within his ability, those are not the limits. It seems he's also able to use it like telekinesis and cause objects to move and fly at his control. That's pretty much the extent of his abilities as far as canon has shown us. Until canon otherwise states, that's all he'll be able to do with them.
They pack a punch, but John isn't someone who's inherently destructive so he'd never use them for unjust reasons.
As far as ungodly abilities goes, he's a diligent prankster and he's not too bad with a hammer, if he does say so himself.
Personality: John is pretty much a normal thirteen year old kid at the start of the series. He loves his dad, he spends a lot of his time talking to his best friends on the internet, and he has a variety of (mostly) healthy interests. He's a good kid. He's generally very cheery and optimistic, a very stark contrast to his best friend, Dave. He falls a little bit into the naivety corner and can more or less be completely oblivious to things going on around him. Not to mention forgetful.
Though he may seem like a bucket of sunshine most of the time, he does have a temper. He does have certain things that just set him off and you'll see him go into some pretty serious fits. One example being baked goods. He just really doesn't like them. At all. Don't do it man. To a lesser extent John can also get comically dramatic with his reactions, much like his cheesy movies.
Luckily, he usually snaps out of it just fine and carries on with whatever else he was doing. He's a pretty laid back kid and doesn't let things really bother him, even if its serious he can usually keep an optimistic head about it. I mean, the kid was told pretty much his world was doomed. He just kept right on going, wanting to save whatever it is he could. As of his current point in canon, he has shown a bit more responsibility than before and potential for leadership, whether he likes the idea or not.
In addition, he has a mischievous streak. He's not afraid to pull a practical joke on someone and he'll brag about being the pranking MASTER. His actual skill is up for debate however. He has a knack for using really bad disguises to fool his dad and they don't ever seem to work. At least, his jokes aren't on the malevolent side and he usually just does it to get a laugh regardless of the results.
What are your plans for the character in-game? Well John does want to find some way to get back to the session so he can help his friends, so he will be looking for a way out. He has no problem going along with the world's rules though to do it. To him doing the Garden thing is just like playing a level in a game. Something he needs to do to advance his place. If he wins, he'll get his prize.
Anything else? Uh just a question about the sylladex. It's kind of an abstract storage medium. It doesn't really have a physical manifestation, its just kind of there. Like a video game inventory. Will he be able to keep it or will it not show up in the world? I'm fine with either I just thought I'd ask.

What do you prefer to be known as? My name is John Egbert, but you can call me John!
How old are you? I just turned 13!
Do you have any history in combat? Sort of? I mean, I guess Sburb counts. I've had to fight all kinds of evil imp-things. I use Hammerkind for my specibi, which is actually a lot more awesome than I thought it would be! I have these pretty sweet windy powers too. I ...mostly know how they work!
If so, have you ever killed? Those imp-monsters, but not an actual person, no way!
i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity? Pumped! I love immediate and rapid activity!
ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities? Umm ... you mean like hobbies or whatever? Sure, I dunno about organizing but I've got all kinds of interests. like watching really awesome movies and playing pranks! video games and I guess I like programming a little too, but movies and pranks are my favorite. I am the total prank MASTER. Just ask my friends! Here, do you wanna see one of my awesome and totally deceptive disguises?
iii) What role do you take when working in a group? They say I'm kind of the leader but I dunno. I don't know if I really like being in charge! I want us to all be friends and work together like a team. So if I had to be the leader, I would be more like the friend-leader. In charge but still awesome and friend-like! Things just work out better that way!
iv) How talkative are you around other people? I guess I'm pretty talkative! I never really thought about it before but if you count all my pestering then yeah, I'm all over conversation.
v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning. Let's see...not counting my sylladex: My computer, Conair, and my favorite book: Colonel Sassacre's Daunting Text of Magical Frivolity and Practical Japery!
The first one is a no-brainer, seriously. You should never be without a computer! How else are you going to stay in contact with your friends? This is a matter of life and death I'm not even kidding! The second one is also obvious. It's only the best movie ever, why would I leave it behind? Aaand the third, if I'm going to be stuck on some lame island I can't let my skills get rusty. So there you have it!
vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people? I dunno about that, but I think it's important to be friendly. Sometimes people will just not like you! That doesn't mean they won't warm up though.
vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance? Fuck yeah! Giving up is pretty much the worse thing you could ever do.
viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person? Not really!
ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life? Only if you do it all the time. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow!
x) Do you like surprises? Surprises are awesome! They're like, the essence of pranking!
xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you? Nnnnno... not really!
xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions? I dunno! It would really have to depend on my superior.
xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages? Bluh, they're kind of gross but better than baked goods!
aaand a thread!
