Sci-fi versus Fantasy

I grew up loving both sci-fi and fantasy. As a kid, they were interchangeable to me.

I think my friends when I was younger were fantasy folks. Now, a lot of them are sci-fi. There's a difference.

sci-fi: "hey, we're in the future, or space, or the computer is plotting against me"

Fantasy: "holy shit, is that a unicorn!? Ouch, it got me with it's magic!"

Sci-fi fantasy: Aggghhhh! The unicorn is totally doing it with our spaceship!
