Life!
Due to recent events, I decided it might behoove me to have an eyepatch in my med kit.
Where does one go to get an eye patch if not to San Francisco's "only independent pirate supply store" at 826 Valencia! Arrgh!
This meant I also finally got to check out Paxton Gate, home of curious natural wonders with a Victorian flair. Lots of great stuff, including a stuffed lion, and pitcher plants for sale!
Before the retail excitement, Brendan and I wandered Dolores park.
Within ten minutes we
-watched the lovely ceremony and then joined the mini-reception of an intimate, simple, awesome gay wedding for a couple that has been together 29 years! Thanks for including us in your champagne and happiness random couple. Hope you remember our names so that you can label your wedding pictures with something other than "those random people in the park"
-walked a few feet away and got to see a brand-new (3-week) old baby!
-walked to the street just in time for a procession of funerial cars
-walked down the street a half block and saw some crazy alien kitties! You know, the ones without hair that are so ugly yet kinda cute.
