Christmas was cool. My friends are great. God is pretty freakin sweet. But now on to my point. Oneighty is a cool place, or rather was. When I first started going in 6th grade it was awesome, I really looked forward to it every week. But over the past year(and then some) I've lost a lot of respect for the staff. As one of your pastors, I feel that it is important for me to address this post. I want each of you to know that the entire Oneighty staff cares about each one of you. We all love our jobs and quite honestly we love you. I know for a fact that authentic relationships are being built through our programs and we are seeing people grow closer to Christ through the efforts of all of us combined. I don’t know what it takes to get respect, but in my mind a genuine love for others and authentic relationships are at the top of the list.

I know that livejournal is a website and it is easy for us to post our thoughts quickly, but I want to encourage you guys with James 1:26 - “If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.”

I want to address the methods we use to express our hurt, disappointment, or even lack of respect… The Bible says in Matthew 18:15 - "And if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over." This verse says to literally go to your friend in private and discuss the issue. I want to remind you that we have an open door policy here at Oneighty and if any of you need to talk about anything or if we have hurt or offended you in any way please come and talk to us.

Jeff
