Well, the Spoons For Forks sketch show was quite good, although they did not end up using my buddy Tyler's script. He's in Costa Rica at the moment...and I do agree that he would do a better job at directing it. next year...
After chilling with my buddy Steve I caught lunch with Todd at Zorba's, very charming chap, my fave stagehand in all of the city. :)
So I leave to go pack for Kankakee and the moment I walk in my apartment I get a phone call from my ex classmate and very nerdy yet elegant friend Ryan. So he needed to drop another class, so I offered to walk over there with him, what I don't realize yet is that he was parked in front of my building with his Harley Davidson ready to ride. He asks me if I have a coat and glasses. I've been wearing my contacts lately, but you all(mostly) have seen my kickass burnt siena leather coat...it rules. so that was good enough. So after a bit of timidity Ryan goes into kindergarten teacher mode in showing me how to sit properly on a bike, how to mount, dismount, etc.
And we were off...
I can now say that I've ridden a motorcycle. On the way there I was quite jumpy. I mean, I'm not used to riding in cars in the road, let alone a harley. And remember, this is downtown Chicago, so there are crazy drivers to be feared. Leaning was quite scary at first. But on our trip back I actually did a whole lot better and was much less nervous...
It was soooooooo much fun!!! Now I wanna go riding again soon! Ryan gets bored in his apartment pretty easily, so I'm sure it's bound to happen soon again anyways...we did look bad ass, bad ass nerds rule. Now I want a bike, but I need a cool black leather jacket, with a biker cap with goggles, oh and hot boots. can't forget those.
Til next time...
ERIN the timid ROAD WARRIOR!!!
