Breaking Away
Well, it seems that the three friends who responded to my last entry are right. Now, I am not killing the character of Otto Lontra, foxonian but my involvement in the furry fandom I believe has come to an end. No one should really be surprised since I have hinted at it every now and then. I am keeping Otto for something, but what I have no idea right now. My good bro, welshwolf who also doesn't consider himself furry anymore, kept his character of Patrick Rangerwolf as a mascot for his art business and website. I know of others who have left the fandom as well, but for other reasons I'm sure.
Why the change? Too many reasons to list to be honest, but I will make another entry concerning this since I'm trying to get my thoughts together on the whole thing. The bottom line is that this choice goes deep and I'm not making light on this. I'm even considering changing my LJ name. Now, am I going to drop any of you, my friends? Not on your life. I've made too many wonderful friends, furry or not.
So yeah, from this point on I will no longer be involved in the furry fandom. I will still enjoy the artwork of my friends since all of you who do it are very talented. If me not being furry this disappoints anyone, I'm sorry. One good thing about it is that it's totally drama free. Woo!!
