Well, it finally happened. Somebody booked
Northern Aggression. I don't think my liver is quite ready for that show.
We're playing with at least two other bands right now; The one before us is called
Dead Rites. They should just change their name to Danzig. Seriously. The music's not really all that bad, but it's definitely set up for the Danzig/Samhain fans. However, looking at
their website weirds me out. Apparently they've toured Japan, and are going to Puerto Rico next Spring. Wow.
The band playing after us is pure pop-punk, from what I've read, (there's no music on their myspace), and they are called
47 Feet From Nowhere. Their next show is not in Puerto Rico, but at Harrison High School.
I like our odds. I really do.
The Warehouse kids might not know what to make of Dead Rites, seeing that they closest thing they know would be AFI - and Dead Rites' singer is not as pretty as Davey Havok.
Then we get a bubble-gum, no-substance, all-filler pop-punk band to try to follow our act? (I'm assuming, since I didn't get to hear any music). In comparison, it's going to sound like we neutered them before they went onstage. Not to mention that 47Ft's going to be pretty weary after listening to two bands who I'm sure will be wearing an inordinate amount of black and using the F word.
Alright. So, the only thing left to decide on is: Whiskey or vodka?
Now, the relaunch of
Never Ithaca as
Seven And A Shotgun has been scheduled for December 19th at Swayze's. The music's much more musical, the message is much harder to ignore, and the attitude is more accurately enthusiastic now. We might actually look like we're having fun now. haha.
Fuck. I think I'm gonna puke from nerves now. Come see me at a show!
